In the fridge
Cheesecake is a fresh cream-cheese dessert, so it belongs in the fridge from the moment it arrives. Fridge first, everything else after.
- Temperature: 0 to 4 °C, on an inside shelf rather than the door, which is the warmest spot.
- How long: best within 3 days of delivery.
- Dates: the label shows the made and best-before dates, so check it rather than guessing.
- Cover: keep it in its closed box or wrapped well so it doesn't pick up fridge smells.
- Placement: flat on a shelf, away from strong-smelling food.

Jeddah heat: never leave it in the car
A parked car in the Jeddah sun heats up fast, even in winter. Cheesecake can't take it: the filling softens, the topping slides and the base loses its crunch.
- If you're carrying it yourself, make it your last stop and head straight home.
- Keep the AC on and the box flat on the floor in front of a seat, not on a sloping seat.
- Not in the boot: it's one of the hottest spots in the car.
- Never leave it in the car with the AC off, not even for a few minutes.
Serving: 15 minutes out of the fridge
Straight from the fridge, cheesecake is a little firm; after about 15 minutes the texture turns creamy and the flavour opens up. No need for longer, especially in Jeddah's climate.
- Take it out about 15 minutes before serving.
- Dip a long knife in hot water and wipe it dry.
- Cut straight down in one motion, then wipe and warm the knife again between slices.
- Put the rest back in the fridge as soon as you've served.
Don't leave it out for more than two hours, less outdoors or in a warm room. At long events, bring it out in batches.
Taking it to a gathering
- Keep it in the fridge until the moment you leave.
- For longer drives, use a cool bag with ice packs.
- Carry the box from underneath and keep it level.
- When you arrive, ask your hosts for fridge space.

Can you freeze it?
Honestly, cheesecake is best fresh, which is why we make it for your delivery time. Freezing can change the texture of the filling a little, and fruit toppings don't freeze well.
If you do need to freeze leftover slices, some general guidance:
- Freeze them early, not after several days in the fridge.
- Wrap each slice tightly in cling film, then put them in an airtight container.
- Eat them within a few weeks.
- Thaw in the fridge, not on the counter, for several hours or overnight.
- Don't refreeze once thawed.
The dates on the label are for fridge storage; freezing is at your own judgement.
Leftovers and allergens
Cover leftovers and put them straight back in the fridge, and eat them by the date on the label. If it looks or smells off, don't eat it.
A reminder: our cheesecake contains milk, wheat (gluten), eggs and soy; the pistachio topping and mixed boxes contain nuts.
